American hair loss suffers spend more than 3.5 billion dollars a year in an attempt to treat their hair loss. Unfortunately 99% of all products being marketed in the less than ethical hair loss treatment industry are completely ineffective for the majority of those who use them. The American Hair Loss Association recognizes that hair loss is an extremely emotionally distressing disease that can make those afflicted particularly vulnerable. For this reason, The AHLA recommends against purchasing any hair loss product that is not approved by the FDA or recommended by The American Hair Loss Association.

Development engineers needed to provide a quality by design (QbD) approach to identify formulation and device critical quality attributes (CQAs) of a test DPI product that could be adjusted to achieve equivalent in-vitro performance to a reference product. Successful engineers will systematically evaluate the extent to which changes in formulation and device influence in vitro performance of a test DPI product and lead to equivalent in vitro performance of test and reference dry powder inhalers (DPI) products. Results of this project will 1) help to establish a systematic approach in developing a generic DPI product that has likelihood of establishing equivalence, 2) and help to accelerate the generic development of DPI products.

Requirements:
MS/PhD in Biomedical / Chemical Engineering with 10-15 years experience. At least five(5) of those years MUST have been in the development of dry powder inhalers.
